KICK OFF at my studio February/March 2003, Showing my newest installations; "Angel" and "Evils Priestly." At the same time the NRK2`s Cultureprogram "Stereo" made a reportage on my Elvis Project.

"Evils Priestly" Black Butterfly- It`s very hard to live up to an image.

This Installation is a mix between Elvis, Batman, Dracula and Bruce Lee- mirror senario in the movie "Enter the Dragon."
The Elvis-sculpure in the "Black Butterfly"- jumpsuit is beeing reflected in a 3,5x1,7 m big Mirror-screen.

Animal versus Angel 2000 Installation in Bergens Kunstforening containing a circular shaped altar and a crucifix with spikes and a nimbus of optical cable, constantely chancing ligths. Discoligthings, strobes, fogmachine and spesially Goatrance-music fits Elvis very well, and it made him look like a modern hindugod.

Eyes Blue Ice 1998 "Eyes Blue Ice", Installation Monument. Here the audience look upon a sarcophagus in a dark, ice-cold room, and involuntary they are put into a position of mourning over this body, freezed in a ice-block, lying in state of "lit de parade". Immortality and heroic worship concretizes and continues in this experiance of solemnity and distance.

Burning Love 1997 "Burning Love", Installation Monument, a relic: I made a copy of the original "Burning Love"- jumpsuit, an outfit with allusions to knigths and cardinals. (The shoes are made in Germany, exact copy of the original Elvishoes.) The cape with white silk lining has a sunsymbol on it, witch means the one who lightens up the dark. The sculpture stands behind a 8 mm thick, dark and sooty, bullet- proof glassmounting. There is a 45 cm high black marble- pedestal witch the figure stands on. The affected attitude of the figure is like its ready to grab and pull the revolver, and shoot himself out trough the glass. The headless sculpture represents what`s left of Elvis, the myth and the image, which lives on.

Burger King 1996 "Burger King" an Elvis altar, a goldbust of Elvisjesus with a half eaten hamburger from Burger King. At the national art exhibition in 1996 the audience could pay a little money to get incense and lights and kneel on a royal red carpet to worship him. The altar was decorated with Hawaii flowers and wreaths.
